A dinner show is once again on the program as the Compagnie théâtrale L”arc en Ciel (LCTG) presents its latest production this weekend.

The LCTG will present “The Last Roundup of the Guacamole Queens” Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well as October 1-3 at the Great Oaks Dinner Theater in Cedar Lake.

Joanne Carroll, coordinator of Benches on the Avenue, talks about this year’s public art program which features a bench on Aok Park Avenue decorated like album covers.

LCTG directors Paul and Angie Lowe are excited to bring live shows back to the area.

“We’ve been working on it on and off since mid-July,” Angie Lowe said.

Lowe called “The Last Roundup of the Guacamole Queens,” written by writers Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten, “a crazy comedy” which is just perfect for this era.

“It’s a show that doesn’t preach or teach. It’s just a stupid game,” Lowe said.

“The latest Guacamole Queens Gathering centers around the verdeen cousins ​​of Sweetgum, Texas and their planning for a high school reunion. The reunion also includes the coronation of a Texas-style Guacamole Queen. crazy situations and a lot of chaos occur throughout the show.

Lowe said the authors are known for their light and comedic works.

The production also includes a meal, which is served at 6:30 p.m. before the evening shows and at 12:30 p.m. before the afternoon shows.
