Stephen Fry Joins Ipswich Regent Theater Christmas Show

Stephen Fry and Johnny Vegas are slated to feature in an all-star lineup for extravagant Christmas comedy at the Regent Theater in Ipswich.

Along with Eddie Izzard, the comedians are headlining “Happy Christmas Ipswich 2”, organized by Griff Rhys Jones, based in Suffolk, to support the Children’s Hospices of East Anglia (EACH).

The first event took place in 2019, but the incarnation of 2020 was one of the many shows that fell victim to the Covid pandemic.

This year’s festivities will also feature Clive Anderson, Irish comedian Ed Byrne and West End star Ruthie Henshall.

Tickets for the 6th December event start at £ 40.

Kevin Clements, EACH Fundraising Director, said: “We look forward to our big night in Ipswich.

“The event in 2019 was a lot of fun, hugely popular, and most importantly, raised tens of thousands of pounds for EVERYONE.

“I hope this year’s show will be bigger and better and raise even more money.

Griff has put together a very impressive and high profile list of celebrity acts and it should be a very special night.

“Tickets sell out quickly and my advice would be to get in quickly as it will be a night not to be missed.”
