The Day – Granite Theater in Westerly offers ‘Christmas Carol’ indoors and outdoors


Ebenezer Scrooge takes his number on the road … or at least in Wilcox Park.

The Granite Theater in Westerly doesn’t just stage the classic “A Christmas Carol” inside its theater; he also presents it as a walking tour in the park on December 11.

In this latest version, titled “Ghost Tours in the Park: A Christmas Carol Story”, Scrooge serves as a guide for the tour, and he will be visited by familiar ghosts: the ghost of Marley and the ghosts of Christmases past, present and still. future. He also meets townspeople and even song singers.

Although the tour is an overnight event, audiences can see “A Christmas Carol” inside the Granite from Friday to December 19th.

Theater patrons will be asked to wear a mask and show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test. Additional security measures can be implemented as needed. The house is operating at full capacity.
