CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio – âI see you shivering with impatience! The cult film “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” returns to Cedar Lee Theater, with its resident cast Simply His Servants, on Saturday, November 6th.
Don’t expect an average movie night. At Cedar Lee’s “Rocky Horror” events, you’ll see the bizarre 1975 film with many costumed participants and audience participation, as well as a live re-enactment of the film by members of Simply His Servants in front of the screen. movie theater.
The group hosts their monthly broadcast of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” at Cedar Lee on the first Saturday of each month at 9:30 p.m. – but it took a 20-month hiatus due to the pandemic, according to a press release.
Now the monthly event is back, starting with the November 6th show. It builds on the film’s long history in Cleveland; it’s screened at the Cedar Lee Theater since 1988, and the press release says that means âRocky Horrorâ is the city’s longest-running theatrical film.
Tickets for the performance are $ 12. Face masks will be required for all participants except for eating or drinking, and throwing objects into the theater (a typical ritual during “Rocky Horror” screenings) will be banned due to the pandemic, according to a press release.
